  • Our House

Our House

Every year, we draw some of the world's most exciting artists to Birmingham to create large-scale and immersive opera performances in extraordinary spaces. Each award-winning, world-class production is underpinned by our year-round activity of over 70 events and sessions in all of Birmingham's 10 Districts with the people of the city. With no opera house, we make great opera everywhere: youth and community centres, homeless shelters, warehouses and shopping centres.

"We go out and find our audience; meeting them on their own ground. We invite citizens to participate in our work and help us find audiences - an audience who also participate - no seats but physically engaged in what is now called immersive theatre."
- Graham Vick, Royal Philharmonic Society Keynote Speech
