Are you ready for your time to shine? Register your interest for our next project!

Every year we invite the peoples of Birmingham to take part in our award-winning productions alongside international professional artists. There's no need to audition to be part of it and we'll help you to learn all the music by ear, so you don't have to know how to read music.

Whether you’ve got lots of performing experience or are a complete newbie when it comes to singing and acting- everyone's welcome! We’ll give you everything you need to be performance ready including training, MP3 listening tracks and support from professional mentors all for FREE. We also reimburse up to £4.60 in travel expenses for each rehearsal you attend. 

Want to be in New Year? 

New Year will be directed by opera legend Keith Warner, making his debut with Birmingham Opera Company. BOC Music Director Alpesh Chauhan will conduct the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra alongside hundreds of Brummies in an extraordinary space. As usual, the venue is top secret… for now.

There's no need to audition to be an actor or singer in the chorus. Whether you've performed many times before or you're a complete newbie when it comes to opera - everyone's welcome aged 16+!

GIVE IT A GO SESSIONS

We holding some taster sessions for people to come and have go at singing or acting. It’s a great chance to meet the team and try something new. This session will mainly be for people who haven’t volunteered with us before. If you or someone you know would be interested in coming along, take a look at the info below: 

• The singing session is on Wednesday 20th March 6.30pm- 9.00pm at Trefoil House, 2 Ellis Street, B1 2HL. 

• We also have an acting taster session on Sunday 24th March, 2.30pm- 5.30pm at The Crossing, South & City College, High Street Deritend, B5 5SU.
