We believe that opera can speak to everyone. We reflect the city we work in – with our audiences, artists and stories that we tell. Our ground-breaking work constantly attracts new and ever-changing audiences.
Birmingham Opera Company’s production of Wagner’s RhineGold came to Symphony Hall in Summer 2021. Performed in English, with its full musical forces: an orchestra of 87 players from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, a stellar international cast plus local volunteers.
Forget everything you think you know about opera, because it's something completely different. See what others say about us!
We are internationally renowned for telling stories. This programme allows us to work with adults and young people from across the city and offer an experience to the people of Birmingham.
