Are you a talented singer? Are you aged 16-19 years? Are you from Birmingham/ West Midlands? Then we want to work with you!

Birmingham Opera Company is working with The Royal Opera House in London to put together a program of professional training for young (16-19 years) talented singers, specifically from the West Midlands, across four years. (3\4 workshops across each year).

We are looking to nurture and develop talent, enabling young artists to flourish into Opera singers with a career in the arts as a professional performer.  We want to give young people a chance to explore their practice and perhaps discover a love and passion for something they didn't know existed.

The BAME representation in Opera is not where we want it to be.

Young people are the future of Opera and we want it to be a diverse and inclusive one! Everyone should feel like they can make a career out of something they are passionate about.

We are holding our first introductory workshop for this project in Birmingham.

Date: Sunday 25th November

Time: 2pm-5pm

Location: Birmingham City Centre (Specific location will be given to successful applicants)
