Voices of the Future!

Birmingham Opera Company is working with The Royal Opera House in London to put together a programme of professional vocal training. Specifically for talented young singers who are growing up in Birmingham. We are scouting out young artists to join us. Get access to vocal training opportunities, trips to see Opera, bespoke masterclasses and much much more!

Voices of The Future is made up of a pool of talented young artists who all share a love and passion for singing. Our most recent event was on Sunday 2nd February 2020.

Smetana 200

In 2023, Birmingham Opera Company hosted the European Opera Directing Prize. Now the winning team, led by Lorenzo Ponte, returns to Birmingham to develop their new production of Smetana's "Two Widows", which will appear as part of the Smetana 200 Festival in the composer's hometownn of Litomyšl, before heading on to Prague and then Lviv National Opera, Ukraine.
