Emerging Artists Programme

There aren’t enough diverse young singers on the opera stages of the UK. As a result, diverse audiences remain under-engaged. You can help redress this imbalance.

The Emerging Artists Programme supports the development of up and coming singers through detailed professional tuition with internationally recognised opera director Graham Vick and a cast of industry professionals.

Check out this short clip from a master class with Graham Vick in September:

The next instalment of our Emerging Artists Programme runs alongside the production of our newly commissioned opera LAZARUS.

We’re going to engage 12 diverse singers that are at the start of their careers. To make sure the programme is accessible to everyone you could help cover their travel cost and their pay. Your support directly goes to the young artists.

Each artist will receive tuition themselves, as well as being actively involved in mentoring members of the local community - many of whom will have never acted or sung in public before and will be learning music by ear.
