Don't miss Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, a live film by award-winning international film maker John-Martin White.

Winner of the 2019 Royal Philharmonic Society Award for Opera & Music Theatre and the 2021 International Opera Award for Education & Outreach, Dmitri Shostakovich's epic opera Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk was Birmingham Opera Company's 50th production.

Over 150 Brummies performed in Lady Macbeth, alongside a cast of outstanding international soloists, emerging UK artists and the mighty City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, in five sold-out performances in a disused nightclub in Ladywood in March 2019. Directed by Graham Vick, conducted by Alpesh Chauhan and with a radical set design by the Banksy collaborators Block9.

Recorded at The Tower Ballroom, Ladywood in March 2019, you can watch the production for FREE on demand from Friday 14 May 2021, 18:00 (UK time) until Friday 14 August 2021, 11:00 (UK time). Don't miss it!
